The Green Bay Packers will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, July 24 at Lambeau Field, the club said Friday.

The Packers have 363,948 shareholders who combine to own 5,020,523 shares of the club, according to the club.

The club said it will be sending formal notification of the meeting to shareholders, as well as information on voting by proxy, in mid-June.

According to the club, the Packers have been incorporated since 1923. Their last issuance of stock was in 2011, with the proceeds intended for Lambeau Field improvements.

Can somebody please ask Ted when we’ll be winning our league record 14th World Championship?

Perhaps you should invest in that team you have there in Minnesota. Maybe then they’d actually win something.

As one of the 350,000+ owners, I am very excited for this upcoming season. We’ve got the Superbowl in our sights again, especially after having drafted our new “1-2″ punch: Lacy and Franklin. TIME TO GIVE RODGERS A LITTLE BREAK AND PUT THE RUNNING GAME BACK ON THE MAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. captaincanoe says: May 3, 2013 1:33 PM

Really vikings1976? Better then the government shaking down taxpayers under the threat of fine and/or prison.

It’s cute when they pretend otherwise.

Haven’t you been listening to your fellow pack fans over the last five years? The running game doesn’t matter. Waste of time.

LOL – here, drink the kool-aid and buy some more stock.

The best thing about living in Wisconsin is the view of Minnesota.

Yes, please cough up another $275.00 you Packer “owners” lol.

If you wanted a novelty item to hang on your wall you could have bought a Bart Starr jersey, framed it, and hung it. It will be worth about as much as that Packer “stock”.

  11. logisticalvoices says: May 3, 2013 1:46 PM

There is nothing in the world that I want more than a “share” of “ownership” of a football team that allows me to attend a “shareholder meeting” with thousands of my closest “friends”.

Laugh all you want at us idiots who have CHOSEN to donate money to the team we love. Just name another city of 100,000 people with an NFL team.

We know what we’re getting/not getting for our money – and we’re happy with it that way.

  16. Carl Gerbschmidt says: May 3, 2013 2:00 PM

It’s weird, these past few stories have really made me think about vike fans, you seem so angry. And exhibit so much bravado for a team with as little post-season success as yours. I’m not a psychologist, but I’d like to hear the opinion of one. Is your false bravado covering up an intense feeling of inadequacy and insecurity? I’d think that would be a nice little study for Psychology Today to look at.

  17. thejuddstir says: May 3, 2013 2:02 PM

I heard they were going to use some of that money to finally build an airport in GB that can handle more than a cropduster plane. Players on other teams were tired of choosing between a bus from Milwaukee or parachuting into GB.

  18. gtodriver says: May 3, 2013 2:02 PM

The story says that the last stock was issued in 2011, but they were still selling the overpriced toilet paper in 2012…

I guess it is now harder to find gullible packer fans with $275.00 to waste.

  19. filthymcnasty1 says: May 3, 2013 2:06 PM

Our many shareholders will have much to celebrate, as they once again beat the hapless, tasteless Vikings, Bears and Lions twice last season.

  20. skittlesareyum says: May 3, 2013 2:08 PM

I don’t get those in this thread that say the stock purchased is just paper. The very topic of this thread suggests otherwise: if you bought stock you can vote at the shareholders meeting. That might not be valuable to you (it isn’t to me), but it does mean it’s more than a piece of paper.

finding gullible packer fans is easy, its finding the ones that have $275 that is the hard part.

  22. filthymcnasty1 says: May 3, 2013 2:16 PM

Viking fans just can’t afford anything this extravagant. They need that money for more important things like dome inflation, novelty Viking horns and preventative bridge maintenance.

  23. tokyosandblaster says: May 3, 2013 2:21 PM

    Packers > Vikings
    Packer Fans > Viking fans

Gotta love all these people talking smack about Packer stockholders.

Yep, sure was stupid to spend money on something like that when, if the rubes were smart, we woulda bought a pile of Harvin, Rice, Jackson, and Moss jerseys. Because that’s a much more intelligent expenditure of funds.

  26. ddjesus says: May 3, 2013 2:35 PM

If the Pack charged fans admision to the shareholder meeting, WI fans would pay. Yeah, a state ranked lower than MN on education, employment, annual income, college/HS graduation and culture is > than MN. Then again, WI admittedly does rank higher than MN in unemployment, HS dropouts, alcohol consumption, liquor stores, obesity, stupid criminal stories, and yes Super Bowls.

Breaking News, the Vikings, Lions, Bears fail to make the playoffs.

  30. tokyosandblaster says: May 3, 2013 2:49 PM

Vikings fans: the only reason the Vikings didn’t sweep the packers is because ponder played poorly in the first game and was injured in the playoffs. Adrian Peterson ran for over 200 yards per game vs the packers last season, so he will again this year.

Packers fans: the packers had way more injuries than the Vikings, and still won the division.

Vikings fans: packers fans make excuses and live in the past.

Anyone see the lengths to which these subhuman horn blowers will stoop to try and cover their insecurities?

  31. mattyb8529 says: May 3, 2013 2:54 PM

The reason Vikes fans hate the Packers so much is, We have Super Bowls, Great Stadium, Best Quarterback & continue to have success. Even though the Vikes make every attempt to get better, things just don’t work out for you. Ted Thompson better GM than Rick Spielman. Continue to be jealous Vikes fans. Packers fans are more dedicated to our team. Go Pack Go

I imagine the 8,000 seat new addition will be discussed. Be sure and thank the owners, as no tax money was required.

Some states have to install lottery machines near their trailer parks to fund stadiums.

Instead: Put your pants on the ground and Bend over.

The fans of any other team in any other sport should all be jealous of the Packers. Packers fans will never be bent over by the owner or have to deal with threats to move the team. It’s too bad all teams aren’t publicly owned instead of having to count on doosh owners jacking up beer prices and PSL’s. You guys have got it made…

  48. binkystevens says: May 3, 2013 10:40 PM

Why did this turn into a debate about which state is better? That’s a pathetic middle school argument. I prefer sticking to football. Pack knocked out the Vikings in the playoffs last year and are favored to win the division this year (current), and have won 3 more Superbowls than the rest of the division combined (current/history). I mean is this whole Packer/Viking debate really worth having? Seems pretty clear cut, though I guess it’s cute that the purple clad fans still support their lowly arena league team.

  49. gbmickey says: May 4, 2013 1:03 AM

When your past is so pathetic of course you want to forget it. Teams that are successful love to relish in it. Ask any team that has won a title and see what they tell you. The jealousy of Viking fans to wanting to be at the big boy table is quite laughable.

  50. stonymark says: May 4, 2013 7:58 AM

The packers have sold out every game since the 60′s, including the 70′s and 80′s when the packers (admittedly) stunk.

The Vikings can’t even get people help fund a new stadium.

    Glass houses, pal
