Von Miller is in the poultry empire business

gus-fring

NFL players who make plenty of money need to find good ways to put that money to work.

How about becoming the poultry king of Dallas?

“Got my first chickens,” Miller told reporters on Thursday.  “Thirty-eight chickens. I’m pretty excited about it.  You’ve got to start somewhere.  As you guys all know, getting into the poultry industry is something that I always wanted to do.  I just didn’t want to go out and buy a [chicken] house and do all this stuff and throw money at all that stuff.

“I really wanted to get to the fundamentals, get back to just raising chicks, and I’m just going to go from there.  I raised chicks in college in class and stuff, but now it’s just a project for me to do it on my own and see where I go with it.  I’m pretty excited about it.  The chickens are not out here in Denver — the weather is fluctuating way too much right now.  I’ve got them back in Dallas.  I’m pretty excited about it.  It’s a start for Miller Farms right now.”

The goal is to raise them and, eventually, kill and cook and eat them.  Or, more accurately, sell them to others who will kill them and then sell them eventually to those who will cook and eat them.

“This is just a small investment where I can see where I go from here,” Miller said. “Hopefully it will snowball into something bigger.”

Before that can happen, Miller needs to make sure he figures out who’s having sex with the hen.

Alfred Morris is gonna crack Von and the Broncos defense as Shanahan shows Denver what a real HC and Football team looks like. #RespecttheREDSKINS

Special day old chicks sell for $85.00 and up to chick farms that breed breeders.

Not a a Von Miller fan, but this is pretty cool.

Make sure them chickens get plenty of room to run, feed, and congregate. Rotate their pins every week to new patches of land. And keep the hawks and coyotes at bay!

Free Range chickens is wonderful idea and will make him some money for sure. Good luck Von!

Florio I would have thought that you would have made a reference to Skelator……Jerry Jones in this article regarding chicken farming. Everyone knows he made a lot of his money in oil before buying the Cowboys but he also made A LOT of money in chicken farming as well.

One day Von hope to be able to say that compared to his poultry earnings, NFL pay is chicken feed.

As long as he doesn’t follow the Gustavo Fring business plan and diverse his holdings into another area.

Great player, great attitude, a down to earth superstar. Denver got themselves a winner. Will be one of the best to play the game.
