Cribbs visited Jets on Wednesday, next destination unknown

It’s been reported that free-agent receiver Josh Cribbs will visit the Jets on Thursday.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Cribbs actually arrived on Tuesday night and visited with the Jets on Wednesday.

The big question is where Cribbs will head next.  With a clean bill of health, Cribbs has launched a belated free-agency tour, meeting with the Raiders on Monday and then heading to see the Jets the next  evening.

Cribbs’ primary value comes in the return game; he’s never fully blossomed as a receiver.  After spending all eight of his NFL seasons in Cleveland, the only thing that’s certain at this point is that he’ll play for one of the other 31 teams.

He’ll take less $$ to play in Oakland & it’s a perfect fit for him.

Well, now that he got the two worst possible destinations out of the way he can look for a job in the NFL.

A return guy is one of the few positions the Jets DON’T need.

I hope he was smart with his money. It’d be a real shame if he had to go back to selling weed.

    OK Joe and Mike,
Offer him a reasonable contract for a talented returner and special teams guy, If he turns it down the fans will forgive you, Do nothing like with Dawson and the mistrust will continue…..
