ProFootballTalk: Will Gronk miss season opener?

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will need a fourth surgery on his right forearm that he initially broke in November. Gronkowski has had a lingering infection in the injured forearm for weeks. The Pats are hoping that this is the final procedure Gronk will need on his right arm.

    This has to be the strangest injury I’ve ever heard of there has to be more to this

    Once he rebroke it, they should have removed the plate and let it heal naturally. plates and screws are safe harbors for infection.

    Never should have played week 17 two years ago just to break Jimmy Graham’s TE yardage record. Bad decision=pyrrhic victory.
