Two weeks after drafting Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro in the first round, the Saints have him under contract.

The Saints announced the signing of Vaccaro and three other draft picks on Thursday evening, with Arkansas-Pine Bluff offensive tackle Terron Armstead, Oklahoma wide receiver Kenny Stills and Tarleton State defensive end Rufus Johnson the others to reach deals with New Orleans.

Vaccaro is the first first-round pick to reach a contract with his new NFL team.

The No. 15 overall pick, Vaccaro (6-0, 214) was the first safety chosen in Round One. The Saints allowed 292.6 passing yards per game a season ago, second-worst in the league. Vaccaro and veteran cornerback Keenan Lewis were the Saints’ primary offseason additions to their secondary.

The Saints selected Armstead in the third round, with Stills a fifth-round pick and Johnson a sixth-round selection.

Nose tackle John Jenkins, a third-round pick from Georgia, is the lone unsigned Saints draftee in the Class of 2013.
