49ers get four draft picks under contract

Aaron Murray ,Quinton Dial AP

With a draft class of 11, it’s a good thing for the 49ers rookie contracts are becoming easier and easier to finish.

According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, the 49ers have signed four picks, including fifth-rounder Quinton Dial, and seventh-rounders B.J. Daniels, Carter Bykowski and Marcus Cooper.

Dial has potential as a run-stopping defensive lineman, though he wasn’t a full-time starter at Alabama. Of course, when you have as many picks as the 49ers had, it allows you to take more chances than other teams.

Didn’t the 49ers make it to the Super Bowl while the Vikes crashed out Round 1? Yea I remember that. Who the F cares about a week 3 regular season win??

Please let the POOR Viking fans relish a win over the better team.

Didn’t the Vikings win the Super Bowl that one year? No? Oh…

Bragging about week 3 wins? Wow. Minnesota Vikings football…no past, no present, no future. Also, you wear purple.

Almost exactly the same as when they drafted RJF. Very good run defender who was strong, played all over the dline in college and had good coaching. This was a very good pick up for the 49ers scheme IMO. Let him rotate in to plug up the lines and let the LB attack. He won’t ever do much pass rushing but they don’t need him too.

Let’s be honest…no 49ers fan expected a loss against the Vikings. Still amusing to see someone talking trash about it for this article.

Niners have a franchise qb? That’s laughable. Let’s see how baby kaepernick can stand up to a full 16 game season after teams have tape on him. Niners = missing the playoffs this year.

Vikings greatest victory last year! If Kaep was in it would have been another loss for the Vikes.

  12. shappy7 says: May 10, 2013 1:30 PM

49′s fans are Ludacris. Your QB is going to be picked off 20 times this coming up year.

And if you do make the playoffs, better hope you don’t face AP and those vikes.

Show me the last time a QB coached by Jim Harbaugh regressed at any level. I’ll save you time, it hasn’t happened. With CK’s drive, talent and football IQ with Harbaugh behind him the only thing to slow him down will be injury . . . which I’m sure a lot of haters are wishing for.

Picked off 20 times? based on 10 games and 5 INT’s?

What’s laughable is your lame excuse as an argument. Pretty sure the Niners have game tape as well you loser. Explain to me how your argument works for QB’s who always perform at a high level year after year? Do the other teams not gave game tape on them?

Your pathetic try at what you probably think is an intelligent point just made you exposed for the fool that you are. Stick to doing your best to color between the lines. That’s probably difficult enough for you.

What ever the Viking fans think of the 49ers. They need to look at there team first and not just be happy that they beat the 49ers at home. Because this season is going to be hell for the Vikings and the lost one of the best wide receivers in the game to Seattle.

  17. questforthesixthnotthelast2013 says: May 10, 2013 5:07 PM

Actually, the vikings loss was week 2!!!
And we get some more action with the Rams than we ever did with the Vikings, glad you got some weapons, it will be a real game the next time!!! Be proud, I see them going again this year, maybe we get to host them!!!!
    Go Niners!!!!

I respect the niners and always have even as our division heats up and my hawks join the elite team category. But I’d agree it’s a little too soon to call Kaep a franchise qb. He he needs to progress mentally in being able to read defenses and call out coverages and hot routes and or change plays pre snap, after that and him still having the success he’s had then he’ll be a franchise qb.

He may very well do that, but he has not shown that yet so any objective fan can agree thats a major milestone in becoming a franchise qb, and not just seeing lighting in a bottle.

  19. ilovefoolsball says: May 10, 2013 6:46 PM

I think Kaep will be a franchise QB no doubt.
I don’t think he’ll be quite as successful with the running stuff as he was last year.

More importantly, the last time a Superbowl loser returned to the Superbowl the following year (without the aid of videotaped practices ala spygate) was 1998.

  20. shkz4 says: May 10, 2013 7:26 PM

I can’t wait to see the rookies at work…why are we talking about the Vikings or anything else in the article…

  21. matt1220 says: May 10, 2013 7:43 PM

“Lighting in a bottle,” So what you’re saying is you also hope Russell Wilson wasn’t a “one hit wonder?” One year by no means makes a career, but everyone who thinks they are just being objective is just criticizing everything about Kaepernick. But what’s new, the whole world said we couldn’t make the playoffs after the ’11 season. Hmmm if I recall they performed pretty well. Many people always try to knock people off, that’s just life. Until the games are played no one knows anything! That’s the only fact in the game. Opinions and observations are nothing to what actually takes place on the field and in the game. But it’s nice to see “so-called” or “self proclaimed” experts be so incredibly inaccurate so often. Which only goes to show there is no real expert, just experienced observers.

10 Nfl games and a Super Bowl appearence. More experience then Matt Flynn who will be in Cleveland by 2015.
    Then the Bills.

  23. allidoiswin55 says: May 11, 2013 8:00 PM

Matt1220- or whatever, to correct your ignorance, the niners were preseason SUPER BOWL FAVORITES. I’m no hater sir, did u see me say anything about RW being better or further developed or anything to put him ahead of Kaep?

I’ll answer for you. NOOO!! Your trolling your own pages and now you look like the idiot. I said I respect Kaep but be objective he is not an elite qb, and or a successful franchise qb (YET especially for a storied franchise like the niners not even a half season can put u into that category) because he needs to show it long term, and needs to progress at the position. Your unquenchable thirst for relevancy should not justify that rash statement.

Just so yo no know, I am a former D1 college football player from th Pac 12 . I don’t just read hype. I understand football most likely on an entirely different level than you. Maybe I’m wrong, but separate yourself from homerism for a second and be objective with trying to convince others you know what your taking about.

Luckily as fans We don’t have to be objective but in this case you will fall victim to your own ignorance. Like the ” no one thought we could do it ” comment. Which obviously is you conjuring up other fan bases not rooting for your team.

I look forward to the games the two teams will play together, they should be epic, for years to come considering the teams are about as equally talented as teams can be.

Good luck niners no hate in me, we just both have morons within our fan bases.
