There were some positive reports about the state of running back Eddie Lacy’s toe recently, but the team hasn’t yet reached a deal with their second-round pick.

They have reached deals with three other draft picks, however. That group includes fourth-round pick Johnathan Franklin, who will compete with Lacy, DaJuan Harris, Alex Green and James Starks for roles in the Green Bay backfield this season. Franklin is at the team’s rookie minicamp and will be able to join the team for OTAs as well. Even though UCLA doesn’t complete its school year until June 14, Franklin graduated a year ago and is therefore eligible to take part.

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the team has also reached agreement on a deal with sixth-round linebacker Nate Palmer. Palmer played defensive end at Illinois State, but he’ll be switching positions with the Packers while he vies for a role on their special teams units this summer.

Paul Imig of FOX Sports Wisconsin adds that tackle David Bakhtiari, another fourth-round pick, said that he signed his contract as well. Bakhtiari played left tackle at Colorado and will likely be competing for a chance to back up Bryan Bulaga, who is moving over from the right side, in his rookie season.

UPDATE 2:56 p.m. ET: Fourth-round offensive lineman J.C. Tretter and seventh-round linebacker Sam Barrington have also signed their contracts.
