The Rams had six undrafted free agents make their team out of training camp last season, which gives the 22 players they’ve signed to deals since the end of this year’s draft hope that they can wind up sticking in St. Louis.
Among the group is former Miami safety Ray Ray Armstrong, who did not play college football last year after being dismissed from the U and then being ruled ineligible to play at the NAIA level as well. Armstrong, who was considered a good NFL prospect earlier in his collegiate days, is listed as a linebacker by the Rams. Also on the list is former Auburn tight end Phillip Lutzenkirchen, who caught 14 touchdowns in his first three years but had his senior season cut short by a hip injury.
