The Bills were awarded tight end Mickey Shuler on waivers and waived-injured undrafted rookie wide receiver Kevin Norrell on Tuesday.

Shuler (6-4, 247) was waived Monday by the Raiders. He spent most of last season on Oakland’s practice squad and previously had stints with Miami, Cincinnati and Minnesota. He was a seventh-round pick of the Vikings in 2010.  The 26-year-old Shuler played collegiately at Penn State.

Mickey Shuler is the son of Mickey Shuler Sr., who played for the Jets and Eagles in a 14-season NFL career.

Scott Chandler was claimed off waivers in the same fashion and had about 600 yards and 6 TD’s for us last season. Now that Chandler’s rehabbing from an ACL injury, we need someone to step up.
