Gabe Carimi missing from Bears OTAs again

Technically speaking, OTA workouts are voluntary for players.

That doesn’t mean they do not matter, or are not remembered.

Bears offensive lineman Gabe Carimi was missing from the workouts for the second straight day, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

The former first-round pick was around for the also voluntary minicamp, but has apparently chosen to skip the next phase.

For a guy fighting for a roster spot, the absence is notable, and not particularly helpful.
