The New York Jets have picked up a cast off from their cross-town rivals.

The Jets claimed wide receiver Marcus Davis off waivers from the New York Giants on Tuesday. Davis signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent but was released by the team on Saturday. Davis racked up 105 catches for 1,827 yards and 13 touchdowns during his collegiate career at Virginia Tech including 51 catches for 953 yards and five touchdowns last season.

The Jets also released wide receiver Antavious Wilson. Wilson signed with the Jets last week and participated in the team’s rookie mini-camp over the weekend. Wilson had 69 catches for 741 yards and nine touchdowns during his senior season at Marshall University.

A good move by the Jets. He had no shot with the Giants, but has talent. But who can throw him the ball?

How can two teams be “cross town rivals” when they play in the same stadium?

Hopefully Marcus Davis can get with a team. He has the prototypical size and speed that NFL teams are looking for, just poor route running and a lack of separation seems to doom him. At VT he was home run or nothing on pretty much every catch.

They are called crosstown rivals bc of where they used to play Giants at Yankee stadium and Jets at Shea. What are a new fan of Ny teams or someone reading jets news bc you have nothing better to do

Honestly, do you actually think before you post?

Bill Parcells won two Super Bowls as the Giants coach, and he used the waiver wires often.
Your hatred of the Jets also brings out your ignorance of football.

Liked when the Giants took a chance on this kid after the draft was over but glad they cut bait quick after not liking what they saw on the field this week.
