Cowboys signing Anthony Hargrove

x350-1 AP

Many thought that former Saints defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove’s career was over after missing last season. Perhaps even Hargrove.

But according to Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.com, the Cowboys are signing Hargove, after working him out three times this offseason.

The last time we heard from Hargrove, he was joining the concussion lawsuit against the NFL, claiming “permanent injuries.”

He’s obviously feeling better now.

The Packers cut him in the preseason last year (and his eight-game bounty suspension didn’t help), and he played 15 games as a reserve for the Seahawks in 2011.

    Who made that decision?

    Jerry Jones, the Owner
    Jerry Jones, the General Manager
    Jeery Jones, the Head Coach
or Jerry “Romo” Jones the Qauterback???

    Does any one know???

He wants significant financial reparations for permanent injuries as a result of playing in the NFL. Now he wants to again play in the NFL.

Guess those injuries weren’t that bad, or permanent, after all. Just like that pay to injure program didn’t exist either, Mr. Hargrove.

The fact that he wants to play for Jerry Jones is proof that he has suffered brain damage. This is all a very clever ploy on his part in order to make his case in the concussion lawsuit.

I like this pick up: 1 it’s on the cheap and 2 if he works out and can play to his potential he will be helping a position that Dallas doesn’t have to much depth in.

Are you that much of a drama queen? Couldn’t help but bring ‘it’ up again, huh? Hargrove got the short end of the stick and he was trying to recouperate what the NFL unjustly took from him…. An entire season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ….recuperate

Cowboys fan here and not happy to have another guy on the team with ZERO RINGS. That’s right NOLA, yours doesn’t count.

I’m happy for him, he’s had it rough. Glad he’s getting another chance.

Just goes to show his lack of character. He obviously lied to go for a money grab with the lawsuit as he did out bountygate.

  13. theuglitruth says: May 16, 2013 4:25 PM

When they cut him he will use the “bounty” card as his reason of failure.

  14. cwwgk says: May 16, 2013 4:30 PM

@sb44champs: surely you jest. Mr. Hargrove chose to perpetuate a fraud on our judicial system in an attempt to recoup his lost salary? My, how the hypocrisy thickens.

Do all you fools still think that your teams didn’t have “incentive” pay at any time? lol it really cracks me up that so many idiots act like this didn’t go on all over the league, the players admit to it. They made an example out of the Saints, that’s all they did. But if you hate Hargrove for it, then you must hate every player on your team too. it may not be anymore but it was common place in the NFL.

A neccessary addition. The Cowboys are going to a 4-3 defense and no one on the roster has played as a hand on the ground defensive end. Ware and Spencer are going from OLB to DE but there is very little depth after those two.

Hargrove provides depth and since he is experienced at DE in the NFL, he can help the Cowboys DEs learn the position.

Maybe he can double up on the concussion lawsuit

  18. gbmickey says: May 16, 2013 6:19 PM

Look at the Saint fans coming to the rescue claiming always me syndrome. I am still waiting for an explanation how an honest person jumps on a lawsuit claiming permanent damage when he thought his career was done but when someone comes calling all is well. Yet inexplicably Saint fans buy in and begin the whining again yet no matter how damning it looks.

    We got Harvin.
    Jerry got Hargrove.
    Sounds equitable to me.

Good Pick up, if he messes up He’s gone, If He does good He will be used and help this team, funny how fans of teams with less than 5 SB rings chime in! lol !

Yeah, but Goodell didn’t perpetuate a fraud on the Saints and Hargrove? Its been proven that he did with the vacating of the suspensions… So who’s really perpetuating a fraud on the system? GODELL
