The Boston DT Party in Jacksonville is on.

According to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com, the Jaguars have claimed former Patriots defensive tackle Kyle Love off waivers.

There, he joins former Patriots teammate Brandon Deaderick, who was claimed earlier this week.

The Jaguars needed help up front, and now they’ve added a pair of serviceable parts to put into an interior rotation, which should allow Tyson Alualu to play defensive end with fewer qualms.

The Patriots didn’t release Love because he couldn’t play, they released him because he was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, offering him a choice to retire or be released.

The Jaguars apparently have no worries, or at least they’re willing to give it a few months to take a cheap look at a serviceable player.
