The complete Mt. Rushmore nomination link page

CheezIt Reuters

Another publication seems to think that our Mt. Rushmore exercise has been limited to one team — the Jaguars.

For said other publication and anyone else who can’t, you know, read, we’re doing it for every team.  The winners will be announced throughout the month of June on NBC Sports Network’s Pro Football Talk.

For now, you can go back and add nominations of your own to the teams you may have missed.

This is stupid, there is no final list? just a bunch of comments by “know nothing” readers? I include myslef in that “know nothing” list. A Mt. Rushmore is an interesting idea, how about using input from people with real football knowledge? You, know, ex-players and coaches. Make this worthwhile instead of a joke.

The Washington REDSKINS are by far the most historic team in NFL history. #ThankGodfortheREDSKINS

Al Davis, John Madden, Jim Otto, Gene Upshaw, Ted Hendricks – Al would have insisted the Raiders get five…uh… Art Shell, Fred Biletnikov, Howie Long….I mean eight. Greatness of the Raiders you know.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there are a few teams missing from your list.

  17. mullman76 says: May 16, 2013 11:29 PM

The Raiders should be awarded extra spots due to their overall excellence and contributions to the league…

Davis, Madden, Otto, Atkinson, W. Brown, Branch, Long, Plunkett, Jackson, Allen, T. Brown…. The list goes on forever…

    Go RAIDERS

Yeah, rite, like if they had at least one super bowl.

I can imagine that many teams would have trouble coming up with even two legitimate names.

    ==================================
That’s pretty funny. The Bears, Packers, and Giants have been around longer, have better records, more hall of famers, and more championships than the Redskins, as well as more interesting and storied histories.

    Between 1946 and 1970, you’re historic team didn’t make a single post-season appearance. Nice.

  24. orakpocalypse says: May 21, 2013 4:59 PM

I like how this list is organized by order of importance. NFC EAST first followed by all the lesser divisions. Nicely done.

Thanks for the one-stop shopping. If I’d been allowed to comment on the Bills without being censored, this whole Mt. Rushmore thing would have been a blast.

    Complete list? Really?
