Lawyer for security guard says video proves MJD is guilty

Conflicting statements from the St. Augustine Police Department notwithstanding, the question of whether Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew will face charges for allegedly punching a security guard depends on the quality of the evidence supporting that conclusion.

The lawyer for the security claims that the evidence is clear.

“The videos, in addition to eyewitness accounts, unequivocally prove Jones-Drew attacked the security officer without provocation,” lawyer Greg Anderson said in a statement, via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Anderson also said that Jones-Drew’s “conduct was deplorable and unbecoming a professional athlete.”

Jones-Drew reportedly will meet with police on Friday, with a decision on whether he’ll face criminal charges coming next week. Regardless of whether he’s prosecuted criminally, it’s safe to say that Anderson will be filing a civil lawsuit against the short man with the deep pockets.
