Lions add Leroy Harris for some veteran depth

Jake Locker, Leroy Harris AP

Now that teams have had a few weeks of OTAs to gauge their current rosters, there’s some room for tweaking them before the start of training camp.

According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions have agreed to terms with offensive lineman Leroy Harris.

Harris has started most of the last three years for the Titans (when he was well, anyway) and gives Detroit a veteran option in the middle of the line.

I think this signing is great for Larry Warford. Harris will give Warford some very solid competition, and also a veteran to learn from.

We need the veteran leadership and some depth. This is a good pickup.
