Prosecutors: Josh Brent failed marijuana test

Joshua+Price-Brent

A judge recently decided to not revoke or increase Josh Brent’s $100,000 bail, while he awaits trial on intoxication manslaughter charges.

He might not be so fortunate this time.

According to the Associated Press, prosecutors said the former Cowboys defensive tackle has tested positive for marijuana while awaiting trial.

Dallas County prosecutors filed a motion Thursday asking a judge to revoke Brent’s bond after the failed urine test from last month.

Brent was free on bond after the Dec. 8 crash that killed teammate Jerry Brown. Brent had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.

While nothing Brent does while free on bond could be worse than taking the life of a teammate, he’s rapidly squandering the support that has been offered to him, including from Brown’s family.
