Raiders sign six draft picks

Before today, the Rams and Raiders were the only two teams who had signed none of their draft picks.  Today, the Rams stand alone.

The Raiders have announced that six draft picks have agreed to terms.  All were taken in round six or later.

They are: sixth-round tight end Nick Kasa (pictured), sixth-round running back Latavius Murray, sixth-round tight end Mychal Rivera, sixth-round defensive tackle Stacy McGee, seventh-round receiver Brice Butler, and seventh-round defensive end David Bass.

News came via a press release circulated by the team via email, which suggests that the recent termination of P.R. director Zak Gilbert means the team may not be retreating to the days of simply adding the news of a player signing to the transactions page on its website with no attempt to draw any attention to the move.

The Raiders have four unsigned picks:  first-round cornerback D.J. Hayden, second-round tackle Menelik Watson, third-round linebacker Sio Moore, and fourth-round quarterback Tyler Wilson.

They should move this team to London. Huge attendance problems (even less fans than the JAGS lol), stadium issues (unlike the Jags), and multiple blackouts per year (compared to zero blackouts per year for the Jags).

    The London Raiders….

————————————————————Seriously? Nobody cares about the Jags, Raiders fans have been around since the 60s and are way more loyal (i.e. showing up to C-Wood’s visit) and blackouts haven’t been an issue the last couple years. the Jags don’t have blackouts because they tarp off half their stadium.

    @z561

The Raiders have some of the most fanatical fans in the league, and good or bad the Raiders are very important to the league. So basically, stop trolling and go away. You are a carbon copy of every uneducated lazy fan who just wants to bash the Raiders as an easy target. You’re not originally. You’re not funny. You’re not cool. You’re foolish.

Raiders Can’t sell out games even when there tickets were 10 15 dollars last year.. What a joke!! Seriously raider fans go to drink more then they do to watch their team loose.. Seriously

    Nice Gilbert reference.

    Keep up the good “work”.

  10. baymac408 says: Jun 6, 2013 8:48 PM

Season tickets to the raiders are cheaper to buy then single tickets almost anywhere else.. Shows how loyal your fans are when they couldn’t stay in Oakland or LA then go back .. And still call sell out games.. So loyal.. Jumping cities just create a new franchise and trash em.. Madden don’t coach there no mo

Hayden? Should they sign him? He heads to the hospital right out da gate? His agent’s hand is very weak.

How will the team ever survive without Zak Glibert? Ask Michael Sliver, Jim Trotter and Peter King and the rest of the whacks in the media.

Oakland has more international appeal than Jacksonville, but if any team moves to London, it will be the Jags. The league wants the Jags in London, and they want to get the Raiders out of Mark Davis’ hands.

  17. rocknation10 says: Jun 7, 2013 12:13 AM

Can’t wait til the seson starts!! The league will really have a reason to hate us after we knock off a few darlings and prove them wrong..

  18. z561 says: Jun 7, 2013 1:07 AM

    @calireb

Even with the tarps, the Jags need to sell more tickets than the Raiders to avoid a blackout. The Jags haven’t been blacked out in 3 years, the Raiders have been blacked out multiple times in the same time period.

Also, even with tarps, the Jags sell more tickets and have more actual fans in attendance on gameday the Raiders.

Also, as a Jags season ticket holder, I have encountered nearly every fanbase in the league. The Raiders fans are the most vile, filthy, uncivilized collection of rejects I’ve ever had the misfortune to share a stadium with.

How can the Raiders possibly keep operating with out the services of Zak Gilbert?

    It’s amazing.

  20. jjackwagon says: Jun 7, 2013 8:38 AM

They signed 6 draft picks from the six round or later??? They are just sifting through the garbage hoping to find a pearl. And given their outlook for this season, I don’t blame them.

  21. badmude says: Jun 7, 2013 10:09 AM

Zak Gilbert is gone and nothing is going to change that. Relax, Breathe, and let it go. The sun is still rising every day. Nobody died because of this. WOOSAA!! Just let it go.

Hey Jags fan i’ve lived in four states and 14 Citys
and you know what ive never met anyone repping
the Jags and im sure if you ever waddled your way out of Florida you probably would notice that outside of Jacksonville no one cares about the Jags .
I mean seriously what have you guys done that is so respectable, lets see 1995 you guys lost the AFC championship and thats about it even the raiders went to the Superbowl in 2002 so how do you consider yourself relevant. I won’t even get into how bad you guys have been recently no 2 draft pick ring a bell how about a name drop Blaine Gabbert and people say we have problems with our drafts, so the the next time you pick up a rock to throw it at the Raiders try to remember that your standing on some pretty shaky ground
    raider nation out

What does Gilbert have to do with this story at all, Florio? Christ, you media types are parasites.

  25. jazzody says: Jun 8, 2013 11:11 AM

Pleeeese! First of all there are no Jaguars in Jacksonville so you idiots will believe anything, that’s why you think that a team that has never won jack is relevant.Jacksonville Jaguars should be called the London Crumpets that has a nice ring to it. Go Raiders!!!!

  26. raidertabulous says: Jun 8, 2013 11:34 AM

I think whoever would want the Raiders ti move to London should have a loyalty reality check!!! Those guys like soccer, not football!!!! The Oakland Raiders have and will always have the most loyal fans internationally!!! The moves they are making are excellent and they are headed in the right direction. For those who don’t have faith in my beloved Raiders, choose another team because Raider Natiin doesn’t need busters!!! Peace out, Raider Rob!!!!

The best place for this team is out of the league not London.
