Finnegan takes aim at Dahl

It’s a good thing the Rams aren’t a bunch of renegades.  Otherwise, this could get ugly.

Former Rams safety Craig Dahl says the 49ers tipped plays on offense in 2012.  Current Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan isn’t happy about that.

Finnegan responded to our tweet on the topic with this message:  “Craig Dahl is lame and weak for that glad he with another squad we know how he play thanks for the tips we know who 2 go at.”

Finnegan wasn’t finished.  “Craig Dahl we know how you play thanks for the tips we know who to attack early and often,” Finnegan said in a second tweet.

The Rams went 1-0-1 last year against the 49ers, thanks apparently in part to the offensive flaws spotted by film study.  It will be harder for the Rams to repeat that performance, now that the Niners know to be more careful about their tells.

How dare Craig Dahl tell his new team what he thinks they should change to not tip their opponents!

C’mon Cortland, you’d have done the same thing.

The year the Steelers won the Superbowl, Peyton and the Colts visited Pittsburgh and won. It was the first NFL game of my life. In front of me, was 60ish man who was constantly trying to predict the Steelers plays to his friend e.g. watch for the running back screen, watch the slot guy catch a 8 yard pass in the middle of the field. He probably got 60% of his predictions correct. There was one time when I myself told my friend that Reggie’s catching the next ball. So my point is that it is not that much of a rocket science as some make it out to be. A lot of the plays are already predictable just by the way the teams lineup. The problem is that a lot in the media hasn’t played the game or follow it closely, so find stories like these fascinating.

It’s a shame Andre Johnson didn’t knock this guys block off.

Finnegan is a true shutdown corner, and gets in the head of his opponents the way no other player can.

Say what you want about AJ beating his ass but how many other 5’9 corners have enough guts to back themselves up? Didn’t think so

Right on Corts! Craig Dahl is a bum

“we know who to attack early and often”

Cortland Finnegan vs. the 49ers in 2012

Week 10: 6 targets, 5 receptions allowed, 97.9 QB Rating Against

Week 13: 6 targets, 5 receptions allowed, 111.8 QB Rating Against

I think the Niners can say the same thing to Finnegan

Why is Finnegan upset? Dahl is saying the Niners were messing up, and that the Rams made a smart coaching strategy that many other teams in the NFL missed. Seems to me he just wants to be upset.

Who do you know to attack? Donte Whitner? Eric Reid? Chris Culliver?

Hate to disappoint you, Courtney, but Dahl isn’t going to get much PT.

Did Akers tip them that he was going to miss two game winning field goals??

The 49′s secret weapon, Craig Dahl, the Ram’s secret weapon, Craig Dahl.

    Ram’s win

So, you’re telling me that had the Rams played the titans last year with the same coaching staff.. Finnegan would not to show the rams the titans tendencies to try to help his team win? hmm.. c’mon man!

Other than the Arizona QB that Dahl picked off, pretty sure every QB had a perfect rating against Dahl.

Glad he signed with the niners – he’ll finally make some positive plays for the Rams!

Finnegan and the Rams obviously knew Dahl would let his new team know what he knew. Does anybody sincerely doubt that? This is all for show.

it matters not whether or not the opponents know what kind of play you are running based on the personnel all the time. It’s all about execution. GO 49ERS!!!!!!

uh huh…and the excuse for not beating the Rams is? thought it was the same ole’ lambs like the niner nation kept saying?

Seems like the same ole’ whiners to me – especially after the superbowl.

Niner fans can thumbs down me all they want about Dahl vs other qb’s – if they think he’s any good then they clearly don’t watch football.

Can’t wait to see Niner Fans posting about how Dahl keeps getting burned, even if it is part time playing. Say what you want – Finnegan is dead on about him. As a Ram fan I watched Dahl ALL season, and to say he is absolutely dreadful in coverage is being nice. All Rams fans know how to burn Craig Dahl, probably just like any other Offensive Coordinator – Send YourWide out receiver on his side of the field on a streak route and send your slot receiver on a crossing route toward his side – he’ll jump the crossing route all day long. Watched this too many times myself…

thats the argument you’re going to make? so the 4 FGs in 2 OT periods Legatron missed don’t count? why do Niners fans always have to make excuses? Rams are a match up nightmare defensively for what the Niners do offensively, leave it at that cry baby.

Every tm tips plays. If you’ve seen any player micd up they predict plays on field constantly.
