The Chiefs shuffled a few names on defense Friday, adding an outside rusher in place of an interior player.

The team announced they claimed defensive end Austen Lane off waivers from the Jaguars, and released defensive tackle Daniel Muir.

Muir has been a serviceable player in the past with the Packers, Colts and Jets, but was buried on the depth chart at nose tackle.

Lane will likely get a get a chance to rush as an outside linebacker in the Chiefs’ 3-4 defense.
