The Eagles didn’t do much for history and tradition by moving their training camp from Lehigh to Lincoln Financial Field.
But they’re making it possible for more people see them.
According to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News, the Eagles have already distributed about 130,000 free tickets for their five practices to be held in their home stadium during camp.
The demand has been such that they’ve even opened the upper deck, amazing considering we’re talking about practice.
The Eagles used to have a dozen or more sessions open to the public at Lehigh, but they only drew around 8,500 per day. Most of the team’s practices during camp will be held in the team’s regular facility, where only a few hundred connected fans (such as sponsors) will be allowed in per day.
