Hot ticket in Philly: We’re talking about practice

AP

The Eagles didn’t do much for history and tradition by moving their training camp from Lehigh to Lincoln Financial Field.

But they’re making it possible for more people see them.

According to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News, the Eagles have already distributed about 130,000 free tickets for their five practices to be held in their home stadium during camp.

The demand has been such that they’ve even opened the upper deck, amazing considering we’re talking about practice.

The Eagles used to have a dozen or more sessions open to the public at Lehigh, but they only drew around 8,500 per day. Most of the team’s practices during camp will be held in the team’s regular facility, where only a few hundred connected fans (such as sponsors) will be allowed in per day.

  1. Take note, Heat fans. This is what a REAL fan base is like. Support through the good, and most importantly, the bad. #birdgang

  2. Really pathetic that fans of the egirls want to wast their summer day watching a Empty Trophy Case team practice. I guess they enjoy watching train wreaks.

  3. This reminds me: The Cowboys, for 3 years in the mid-90s, would come to the Sun Bowl in El Paso for league scrimmages–SCRIMMAGES!! 52,000 seats–sellout every year!!

  4. Who would waste their time watching such a pathetic bunch of losers practice? This ball club will never hoist the Lombardi trophy over their heads… Their best days were when they were apart of the Steagles…

Well since we’re keeping score. It’s waste not “wast” and its train wreck not “train wreaks” So maybe you and you’re fat fingers should try a little harder next time you troll.

And they could today if Mr. Jones so wished. The Eagles are a club littered with failure. How sad it must be to be a fan of a team who has never held up a Lombardi. Never mind five of them, with no asterisks after any.
