With NFL teams firmly in get-thee-to-vacation mode, those with business to do are quickly wrapping it up.
The Cowboys just announced they had signed second-rounder Gavin Escobar, the 47th overall pick.
That leaves only first-rounder Travis Frederick without a deal among their seven picks.
Escobar could make an early impact for the Cowboys, as they’ve made a point that they want to use two-tight end sets more often this year. While veteran Jason Witten will remain the primary target, Escobar has good hands, and should get his chances as well.
