Ronnell Lewis’ lawyer expects “favorable resolution” to court case

Lewis

Detroit Lions defensive end Ronnell Lewis had his arraignment on three misdemeanor charges continued until July during a court appearance on Wednesday.

A bar fight in April left Lewis and the person he allegedly punched both charged with disturbing the peace, public intoxication and interference with an official process.

According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Lewis’ attorney, Jana Ford, foresees a “favorable resolution” for her client in the case.

“My hope is that one of the counts will be dismissed and then we’ll get a deferment on the other two for a short period,” Ford said. “That’s my expectation.”

Following the continuance, Lewis’ next appearance in court is scheduled for July 10.
