As recoveries go, this might be the quickest. Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart does not, in fact, have cancer.

Last night, an injury report on the Sporting News website listed Stewart as “out indefinitely” with cancer. This was news to Stewart, who took to Twitter to make sure everyone knew he did not.

The Sporting News issued a correction later in the evening, and editor in chief Garry Howard told the Charlotte Observer in a statement the mistake “was totally due to an automated feed that has since been corrected.”

Well, as long as it was only the automated cancer feed. We feel much better now. Stewart presumably does also.
