Last Monday, free agent fullback Vonta Leach said that he anticipated signing with a new team in the next two weeks.

One week’s passed and Leach isn’t putting any timetable on things anymore. During an interview with Bruce Murray and Vic Carucci on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Monday, Leach said that he isn’t feeling any great pressure to put pen to paper on a deal.

“Right now we’re keeping all our options open. There’s really not a rush for anything right now because you can’t do nothing on the football field right now,” Leach said, via Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News. “As long as we’re in somebody’s camp, I’ll be all right.”

Leach also addressed where things stood with some of the teams he’s been linked with since getting released by the Ravens. Leach said that he never discussed a time frame for signing with Miami during his discussions with the Dolphins and that interest from the Giants have been “picking up a little bit more” in recent days. He also said he’s in frequent communication with the Ravens and indicated that, if all things were equal, he’d return to his team for the last two seasons without any ill feelings about his release.
