Apparently, Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew won’t be much of a distraction to his teammates.
According to Vic Micolucci of WJXT4 in Jacksonville, prosecutors have decided to not file charges against Jones-Drew for an alleged incident at a St. Augustine, Fla., bar.
The lawyer for the security guard who was allegedly assaulted said he had video evidence that showed Jones-Drew was guilty. Apparently it didn’t show enough, as the prosecutors didn’t deem the case worth pursuing.
Now the only question is when he’ll be ready to return to the field, and he told the Florida Times-Union yesterday at his golf tournament his surgically repaired foot “feels great.”
