PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100 down to four unsigned players

Israel Idonije’s departure to Detroit leaves just four unsigned members of PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100:

Defensive lineman Richard Seymour (No. 42).

Defensive end John Abraham (No. 43).

Linebacker Nick Barnett (No. 89).

Offensive guard Brandon Moore (No. 97).

Seymour, as we noted earlier Tuesday, told SiriusXM NFL Radio there’s no new news on whether he will land with the Falcons. He’s spent the last four seasons in Oakland, which is rebuilding.

Abraham, whom the Falcons released in March, remains an above-average pass rusher. Barnett (112 tackles in 2012 for Buffalo) has the ability to play in 3-4 and 4-3 schemes. Moore, the long-time Jets lineman, graded out fourth-best among offensive guards in Pro Football Focus’ 2012 rankings.

Combined, these four players have combined to start 598 regular-season games.

So yes, there are some proven veterans still on the market. But there’s one less of them with the versatile Idonije joining the Lions.

Abe and Seymour to the Falcons

Teams want to save roster spots for young players that need playing time. GB has moved on from Barnett. Abraham and Seymour are just not that appealing. They will all be signed but after training camp when young players are accessed.

I could see the Bucs taking a flier on Barnett if he’s still unsigned and the strongside LB battle in camp looks dicey.

Yes Barnett back to the Pack. We need inside backups. We have 2nd year Manning (who should be good to v. good). Not sure who else….so Barnett, former No. 1 draft pick, sounds great. I don’t care about the money; pay him what he’s worth. He deserves to come back to Lambeau. Nick had some excellent games for us fans. Thank you. come back

    What about Dallas Clark? Thoughts?

At this time, how does any team not bring in any one of these guys just to kick the tires?

Seeing as how Barnett is an ex-Packer, I fully expect the Vikings to make a play for him.

I think with Clark the main problem is he’s lost a step. Still a very good TE, but there are a ton of younger, faster, more athletic TE’s out there now. He also kind of tips your hand a bit as he’s not blocking when he’s in the game.

Abe is not coming back to Atlanta. It’s already been reported that TD tried to bring him back and he declined.

They cut Bishop because of a injury concern. Why would they take a older more injury prone player in Barnett back? Only way Barnett will ever step foot on Lambeau again is with another team or on alumni day game.

How is RT Eric Winston not a top 100 free agent?
