Former running back Tiki Barber was one of the first people to come to the defense of his New York Giants teammate Michael Strahan following Warren Sapp’s comments that Simeon Rice belonged in the Hall of Fame over Strahan. Sapp didn’t back away from the comments on Tuesday either only reaffirming his beliefs that Rice was the better player.
Now another member of the Giants organization is speaking out against Sapp.
But first a little background. New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez tweeted Tuesday that his doctor gave him clearance to begin playing games again following hip surgery. It was a message Yankees’ general manager Brian Cashman was none too happy about.
According to Andrew Marchand of ESPNNewYork.com, Cashman had a pointed response when informed of Rodriguez’s remarks.
“You know what, when the Yankees want to announce something, [we will],” Cashman said. “Alex should just shut the f--- up. That’s it. I’m going to call Alex now.”
Now with that out-of-the-way, back to football. Giants Senior Director of Communications Pat Hanlon took to Twitter Tuesday night to voice his opinion on Sapp.
Warren Sapp should take Brian Cashman's advice...

It’s no secret that Sapp doesn’t have many fans in the Giants’ organization. Apparently you can now add their communications staff to the list.
