The Patriots have done plenty in the last few weeks to try to change their image, from cutting Aaron Hernandez, to offering free trade-ins on his jersey.
Now, they’re changing the entire logo.
Via NESN.com, the Patriots announced the changes today, with big, blocky blue letters replacing the old, white, cursive script. The “flying Elvis” logo also moves from the side of the mark to the middle.
The change won’t impact their game-day uniforms, but will cause them to order new letterhead and apparel.
The old stuff is probably being used to scrub any last vestige of Hernandez out of the franchise’s history.
