Investigators return to Hernandez apartment

119818994 Getty Images

The apartment Aaron Hernandez maintained roughly 20 minutes from his $1.3 million home has been called a “flop house.”

Not many “flop houses” have a pool.

According to FOX 25 in Boston, investigators returned to the apartment complex in Franklin, Massachusetts area on Wednesday night for further searching.  Per the report, the efforts focused on the pool area.

The biggest piece of evidence the police apparently haven’t found is the gun that was allegedly used to kill Odin Lloyd.  Previously, police searched a pond near Hernandez’s home for the gun.

Pool or pond, they’ve got a much better chance of finding a Baby Ruth.

    Finally!

A Patriots story that joesixpack and harrisonhits can comment on…

Have at it, boys! Tells again about the Patriot Weight.

Yea let me put my name on the lease of a future crime scene.

How stupid is this guy? He won’t even be able to figure out how to make toilet hooch in the joint.

Still waiting for Wes Welker’s wife to tell us to read the Wikipedia page of Aaron Hernandez.

  4. virg1969 says: Jul 5, 2013 10:50 AM

I guess all of these “Patriot Way” people expect us to believe that the Pats had no idea that Hernandez had all of these issues in his past. The Pats either have the worst security team in the league or are no different than any other team.

  5. whatnojets says: Jul 5, 2013 10:50 AM

How many times must they return to do a complete search???

What do they do? A room at a time???

Aaron is the only one dumber than these detectives.

  8. packerbackernj says: Jul 5, 2013 10:55 AM

They need that gun to slam dunk this case. There’s still a big possibility that Aaron Hernandez could walk away a free man after all is said and done, unless one of his homeboys gave a full confession against him.

  9. swagger52 says: Jul 5, 2013 10:58 AM

I wish Wes Welker were still on the Patriots more than Tom Brady does. I would have liked to hear how Wes Welkers wife (smug and self-righteous like the Patriots) would explain this.

    She would have said…
Well Wes would have played better if he didn’t have to worry about lining up with a Serial Killer. Wes can’t do it all.

  10. swagger52 says: Jul 5, 2013 10:59 AM

I wonder if Bellichek has a Flop House to store the videos that weren’t burned by Roger Goodell as evidence.

“Pool and a pond…pond would be better for hiding a gun in.”

Lol I love the ending to this write up. Funny as it could be. I’m sorry to say this but this Aaron Hernandez situation seems to be going in the same direction the OJ case went. High profile case that seemed to be pursued and publicized too fast without getting all the hard evidence in place first. If he did do it, I hope they can get what they need. If they don’t, it’s going to be really hard to convict someone on a he said, she said type case. If he didn’t actually do it, I feel sorry for him and his family because this will undoubtedly destroy his family lively hood.

  14. ctiggs says: Jul 5, 2013 11:06 AM

Hernandez told Tebow to throw the gun into the woods, and the police searched the pond.

Kick rocks Bubby… Stop making this a Patriots thing and act like a normal human being. They cut him within a half hour of his arrest, a clear admission that they made a mistake by drafting and paying him.

You are pathetic for attempting to make this about the Patriots or their fans.

This is a Patriots thing. deal with it. you can cut a guy, expunge his jersey, wipe out his stats…whatever.
PFT is reporting on it because this guy was a football player…of the Pats!

The same Pats that kicked Christian Peter to the curb, but chose to draft this guy anyway, and go get Aquib Talib.

Fans have a choice. If you wanna follow this team, and marginalize their bad choices…I can kick rocks all day about it.

  35. apkyletexas says: Jul 5, 2013 12:11 PM

Police will never find the key evidence. First Belichick hid it. Then Goodell burned it.

Hernandez will be cleared of all charges and back on the field in a Pats uniform (at a slightly reduced rate of pay, of course) by the end of pre-season.

    Didn’t you know? It’s the Patriot’s way.

A busy executive calls home in the middle of the morning one day to speak with his wife. The maid answers the phone:

    Maid: Good Morning!
Exec: Yes, good morning! I’d like to speak to my wife please.
    Maid: She’s busy, sir.
Exec: Yes, so am I, but I need to speak to her for a moment.
Maid: She’s in the bedroom, sir.
Exec: Well, there’s a phone in the bedroom. Tell her to pick it up.
Maid: She’s with someone in the bedroom, sir.
    Exec: What do you mean?
Maid: I mean she’s in bed with another man in the bedroom.

    Long silence…

Exec: Go to my office. In the top drawer of my desk, there’s a gun. Go get it and shoot both of them!
    Maid: But sir!
Exec: Do it or you’re FIRED!
    Maid: Yes, sir!

Several moments later there is a series of *pops* in the background. Shortly thereafter, the maid picks up the phone.

Maid: I did it, sir. They’re both dead.
Exec: OK. Great. Now… what did you do with the gun?
Maid: I threw it in the pool, sir.
Exec: The pool?!? Is this 555-6438?

  38. holdthemayo123 says: Jul 5, 2013 12:16 PM

How many times, after a crime is committed, do you blame the person’s employer for not sniffing out their bad behavior? Unless the person works for the FBI, it seems ridiculous. Well, unless you are just looking for a reason to bash the Pats.

  39. swagger52 says: Jul 5, 2013 12:18 PM

Who exactly would hide a gun in a Pool? Even a Serial Killer Patriot isn’t that stupid.

  40. shiz1156 says: Jul 5, 2013 12:18 PM

I love how people are jumping on “The Patriot Way” and seeking negative comments towards such a idea. Fact is there is a criminal element on all 32 NFL franchises. It’s just a fact of life and in all aspects of society, but the statistics just in this off season alone says it’s way more prevalent in the NFL, not just the Patriots organization.

  41. bminder1972 says: Jul 5, 2013 12:22 PM

kind of funny knowing the cops are keeping that ortiz guy in a different jail. why ??? HE’S a singin like a good little jail bird. thats why they keep re-searching places, new 411 on where evidence may be. hasta Aaron, you were a good tight end, now youll have trouble keeping your “end” tight!! oh yeah, your new flop-house will NOT have a pool.

They had to get another warrant to search the public area around the apartment. The other warrant was probably for just the inside of his apartment. The judge was not likely to initially issue that broad a warrant. They must have additional information in order to secure the new warrant for the public area.

Keep yapping Bubby, it’s fun to watch losers like you try to smear the name of a team. When a guy has character issues you don’t think he is going to murder 50 people, you think bar fight or maybe drugs.

Pats cut the guy and now this is an Aaron Hernandez thing. For you to try to and say that this is how the Pats do or that they have bad character in general is ridiculous.

Think it’s time for you to walk off a cliff.

  50. ravenmuscle says: Jul 5, 2013 1:34 PM

My understanding is that Roger Goodell had the gun and “melted it down” to make NFL charm bracelets to sell on Ebay.

  51. thestrategyexpert says: Jul 5, 2013 1:34 PM

Well they say “flop house” because that’s the only thing they can say legally without proof of what the purpose of this unit was. Perhaps this was just a breeding ground and training facility for Aaron to recruit and build his criminal network over the long-term. It could be a center for desperate and potentially unscrupulous people to come together for education, work, food, and shelter. Maybe he was trying to create his own state within a state and continue to expand outwards.

Somehow I think there is a fascinating story here about what Aaron’s ultimate mission was. Maybe he wanted to be Lex Luthor while his secret identity is to be an NFL football star on the side. That’s power on top of power for the one that’s tripping over obtaining power over people.

  52. bennyb82 says: Jul 5, 2013 1:37 PM

  57. kingkreg12 says: Jul 5, 2013 3:15 PM

Again with this Patriot Way crap? In my mind the Patriot Way is dominating the crap out of the NFL over the last 12 years…. I guess if I was a team other than the Colts, Ravens, and Packers then I would be bit of a jealous baby too.

As for pushing people off the cliff, it would work out a lot better for me if he just walked off on his own.
