Ravens nose tackle Terrence Cody said he’s feeling better, and hopes to be ready for the start of the regular season.
The start of training camp is another question.
Cody told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun that his recovery from hip surgery was going well, but that he wasn’t sure he’d open camp 100 percent.
“I don’t know yet,” Cody said. “We’ll know once it gets closer to camp time, but I think I’m going to take my time, though.”
Cody’s play dipped last year, and was replaced in the starting lineup by veteran Maake Kemoeatu. But an elbow injury was a factor in that as well.
Either way, the Ravens aren’t going to wait around on Cody, as they brought in free agents Chris Canty and Marcus Spears to boltser the defensive front, and drafted Brandon Williams in the third round to add depth inside.
