Jury deliberates nearly six hours in Sarah Jones defamation case

Jones

The second trial of the defamation lawsuit brought by former Bengals cheerleader Sarah Jones against website thedirty.com could end the same way the first one did.

According to the Associated Press, a jury deliberated nearly six hours on Wednesday, without reaching a verdict. Deliberations will resume on Thursday.

The first time, the jury deadlocked because, according to one of the jurors, some couldn’t get past the fact that Jones eventually pleaded guilty to having sex with a student at the high school where she had taught.

The lawsuit arises from postings made about Jones’ sexual proclivities on the website in 2009.
