Texans schedule Patriots for homecoming

Texans.Letter.Jackets-300x225

Maybe the Texans just want the Patriots to get angry and thrash them.

Last year, the Texans got all riled up and wore their fancy new letter jackets to New England, and promptly took a 42-14 beating.

Now, they’re trying to double down on motivational fodder by scheduling the Patriots for homecoming.

The Texans announced themes for each of their home games on the team’s official website, most of them designed to honor someone or a charity or fan appreciation day or some such.

Their Dec. 1 game against the Patriots is listed simply as “Homecoming.”

There’s no word on whether there will be a dance afterward, or if they were unable to schedule Prairie View A&M. Or whether someone in the marketing department realizes how easy that makes the pre-game motivation for the opponent.
