Efforts continue to keep search warrants in Hernandez case sealed

Hernandez

Earlier this month, a judge in Massachusetts made eight search warrants related to the Odin Lloyd murder investigation public. Those documents, along with Florida search warrants also made available to the media, contained many new details regarding the case against former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

But there are more search warrants that remain sealed. A judge in Bristol, Connecticut soon will decide whether four more warrants will remain protected from public view for at least another 90 days.

According to the New Britain (Conn.) Herald, the hearing will be held next Tuesday.

Locations searched in Connecticut include the Bristol home of Hernandez’s uncle.

Prosecutors want to keep the information private, for now. News organizations lobbied for the release of the Massachusetts warrants, which targeted among other things the home of Aaron Hernandez and a separate apartment he maintained.
