Panini takes Aaron Hernandez out of sticker books

Panini, a collectible sticker and trading card company, has manually removed former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez from its sticker books for the upcoming season, ESPN’s Darren Rovell reported Thursday.

Panini, which sells packs of stickers, is also offering to send a sticker of new Patriots quarterback Tim Tebow to collectors who find a Hernandez sticker, Rovell said. Per ESPN, if someone finds an Aaron Hernandez sticker in a Panini pack and wants a Tim Tebow sticker, Panini will furnish a Tebow sticker for the cost of a self-addressed envelope.

Panini has made one million Tebow stickers, ESPN reported. Also, the company will be replacing Hernandez trading cards with Tebow cards in “future card sets,” Rovell said.

Have a theory that not everything can be tied to Tim Tebow? Well, it just got a little weaker.

Makes sense, replace Hernandez with the other starting tight end.

I’m sure Hernandez stickers and trading cards will be highly coveted by middle aged men that still collect trading cards. The same creeps that bring loads of merchandise to fan days to have autographed so they can flip on ebay. If you have a piece of sports memorobilia anywhere in your house besides a man cave you need to grow up.

Panini Aaron Hernandez stickers just became very valuable…anyone who finds one will likely put it on eBay rather than mailing in for a Tebow.

The third string QB for a Pro Bowler? Doesn’t sounds too compelling to waste a stamp and envelope.

This tebow obsession is disgusting. And those of you saying he will be a starting TE are idiots.

Who the hell wants trading cards in their sandwhich anyway!!! Geez Louise, that’s a choking hazzard. Hope they put Heimlich instructions next to the nutritional facts on the wrapper. How irresponsible.

This was Tebow’s plan all along..

You think its bad now, wait till Camp Tebow makes their opinion on the Hernandez matter known. They’re just waiting for the right moment!

So if Hernandez is acquitted, will they re-release the Hernandez stickers and trading cards. And will the NFL and N.E. put his stats back on nfl.com….we didn’t see all this with Ray Lewis.

I dont understand why everybody is so down on Tebow. ALL he do is
WIN. maybe not like other QB’s but
    he wins.

Unlike Brady, Tebow doesn’t need Spygate to be a good QB.
