The Barkevious stands alone.
Entering the day, two of the Browns’ five draft picks had been signed. Now, two more are under contract.
The team has announced that third-round cornerback Leon McFadden has agreed to terms. Like all other rookie draft-pick contracts, it’s a four-year deal.
The move leaves linebacker Barkevious Mingo, the sixth overall pick in the draft, as the team’s only unsigned selection. The Browns are one of several teams in the top 10 insisting on the use of offset language for the player’s guaranteed deal.
UPDATE 6:24 p.m. ET: A prior version of this article said that McFadden was a second-round pick. The press release issued by the Browns says that he was a second-round pick. He was a third-round pick; the team’s second-round pick was used last July on receiver Josh Gordon.
