The Packers announced the signing of strong safety Morgan Burnett to a contract extension on Friday.
News of Burnett’s new four-year pact surfaced on Monday. Burnett, 24, notched a career-high 123 tackles in 2012, starting all 16 games for the second consecutive season.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Burnett received a four-year, $24.75 million deal with $8.25 million guaranteed.
In other Packers news Friday, the club waived undrafted rookie wide receiver Terrell Sinkfield. The club had signed him on June 11 after the Dolphins waived him May 28.
