The new, slimmer Rex Ryan was able to run with the bulls not once, but twice this offseason.

In years past, the bull might have run from him.

Down to 230 pounds from his previous 348, Ryan said the experience was definitely different than it would have been before.

I would have taken him on!” Ryan said, via Steve Serby of the New York Post. “He would have avoided me instead of the other way around. That’s what really would have happened, I think.”

Ryan completed the famous Pamplona, Spain run one day with his son Payton, the next day with his wife Michelle. The second day was the more intense, as he said more than 20 runners were injured.

“You’re like, ‘Whoa, I can get trucked by this bad boy,’ you know what I mean?” Ryan said.

Of course, with a 36-inch waist instead of his old 50, Ryan’s better able to avoid becoming one of the trucked.
