Niners bring back Lowell Rose

After the draft, the 49ers signed cornerback Lowell Rose, who was not selected by any team.  The Niners kept him through the offseason program, cutting him on July 19.

Coincidentally, the 49ers struck a deal with the Bucs for cornerback Eric Wright on July 19.

On Monday, the 49ers backed out of the deal, citing a failed physical.  Coincidentally, the Niners have brought back Lowell Rose.  The team announced the transaction on Tuesday.

And so ends a strange four-day ride for the NFC champions, who may or may not have known that Wright had been arrested for suspicion of DUI on July 12.  If they didn’t know, the easy way out was to deem Wright unhealthy.

And now that every team knows, no one has yet to show any interest in signing Wright as a free agent.

But the Niners did know that Wright had been suspended four games last season for Adderall.  And we all knew that would spark an awkward exchange between the media and coach Jim Harbaugh regarding his comments about the Seahawks and their rash of Adderall-fueled suspensions, as chronicled by Mike Sando of ESPN.com.

Now can the 49ers please bring back Randy Moss since we need a receiver who knows the system who can flourish now that he has a QB willing to throw downfield?

Well the Bucs stated that they told San Fran the arrest news. They wouldn’t lie would they? You know to protect from being embarrassed for trying to dupe them and get away with scoring a cheap draft pick. Maybe the Bucs didn’t want San Fran going on the record saying well we asked if there was anything important we should know, and Tampa Bay said nope not a thing. An easy little lie by the Bucs would be able to bail out both teams from looking foolish.

So until I get hardcore proof that the Bucs told them this information, then I’m going to be skeptical. I just don’t wholeheartedly trust NFL personnel for some reason, or maybe it’s a conglomeration of a thousand reasons.

A Rose by any other name would smell sweeter than the guy who got arrested for DUI last week…

And Shakespeare rolls in his grave.

The 9ers aren’t bringing him back, he can’t get open! He has clearly lost a step or two and he’s even less courageous now than he was when he was great!

Wright was not suspended for taking PED while on the 49ers (if he had joined). Harbaugh’s comments about Seahawks stand correct.

I am not a fan of signing character risk folks.

2 of the seahawks who were suspended were guys who never played and or went from cut to practice squad players. BABRE tested positive Before joining the team and served it while on the Hawks.

Point is, again you’ve let yourself be confused by the media hype machine.

Redskins have MOOOOOOORE PLAYERS SUSPENSDED THROUGH THIS SAME PERIOD OF TIME. The Colts have 3, count it 3 players suspended players IN THIS LAST MONTH.

Calling Seahawks played cheaters is no less fitting then calling the niners all criminals and bigots. Neither are true To perpetuate this shows your own weakness.

When you have your two starting corners (stars no less) and your star pass rusher, I’d say that there is a predisposition to cheating.
You can’t ignore who’s been producing and their transgressions.
