Seahawks sell out the regular season already

Rams Seahawks Football AP

The Seahawks want to prove they have the loudest fans in the world this season.

And it certainly doesn’t hurt their effort that CenturyLink Field is always full.

Seahawks owner Paul Allen just tweeted that all Seahawks regular season home games were now sold out, other than a few handicapped-accessible seats and a few for two preseason games.

Considering their camp hasn’t even started to fuel the hype train, that’s an impressive display.

They still have tickets for the two preseason games? I’m shocked!

  5. pftalk says: Jul 23, 2013 11:32 AM

Meh, GB sold out the 2013 season by the time 1974 rolled around.

  6. pathsovglory says: Jul 23, 2013 11:33 AM

been that way for a couple seasons actually… damn near impossible to get tickets to a game there haha

  7. hunst009 says: Jul 23, 2013 11:33 AM

Good for them…the Packers have been sold out for decades and spolier alert…will be next year and so on as long as their is football.

  8. ozymandias121 says: Jul 23, 2013 11:33 AM

Well they can’t win on the road so this is a smart move.

  9. hunst009 says: Jul 23, 2013 11:34 AM

I’m not a hawks fan at all but that is impressive. No city loves their football team like seattle does. As a bengal fan I could only dream about having a sold out season this early on.

  11. spreadthecheese says: Jul 23, 2013 11:37 AM

I still have 12 more years to go before I get my Green Bay season tickets (and I’ve been on the list 12 years).

So…congrats to selling out your current season, I guess?

  12. jrazz22 says: Jul 23, 2013 11:38 AM

Big deal. The most ignorant, classless, and arrogant fans in the NFL.

  13. bucrightoff says: Jul 23, 2013 11:40 AM

Packer fans, the ones who buy worthless stock, should never talk about other fans. I mean they buy stock that has no value. Hilarious.

  14. bla bla bla says: Jul 23, 2013 11:40 AM

Big deal. The Packers have already sold out the regular seasons for the next 40 some-odd years.

  15. seahawksteven777 says: Jul 23, 2013 11:42 AM

I like how people like to talk down about the Seahawks and the fans. It’s a sign of insecurity to me. You’re insecure about the fact that the Seahawks are a legit SuperBowl contender and the fact that the fans are some of the best in the NFL.

We Seahawks fan are extremely loyal to this team and we always support our team. Don’t believe it? Look at how CenturyLink Field is always rocking every year and is always loud.

  16. gpack22 says: Jul 23, 2013 11:42 AM

  19. moagecu says: Jul 23, 2013 11:50 AM

Ravens have a wait list that’s sitting at about 50 years right now….

  20. jda129 says: Jul 23, 2013 11:51 AM

Sounds like a lot of Green Bay fans will be getting their season tickets right around the same time they”ll be cashing in those Packers stocks for retirement.

  21. handsofsweed says: Jul 23, 2013 11:51 AM

If they sell every ticket in Seattle for the next 30 years, they will still be well over 30 years behind BOTH Green Bay and Pittsburgh.

Seahawk fans suck, but you Green Bay fans touting being sold out forever need to realize your stadium only has like 27 seats and there isn’t crap else to do in Wisconsin besides drink beer and eat cheese.

  24. asimonetti88 says: Jul 23, 2013 11:56 AM

I lived in Seattle when Jon Kitna was the quarterback and they couldn’t give away tickets. For all the noise they make about being the best fans, they are just like every other fanbase- they sell more tickets when the team is good.

  25. allforfunnplay says: Jul 23, 2013 11:56 AM

    of course they sold out.

the Seahawks already won the (off season) Super Bowl.

I think Seattle has a paper mache Lombardi trophy on display.

  28. somethingsmellsrotten says: Jul 23, 2013 12:00 PM

Big deal…a lot of these ‘fans’ must be selling their tickets already…because there are thousands available on StubHub.

  29. trollhammer20 says: Jul 23, 2013 12:01 PM

98 percent season ticket renewal rate, and some 10K people on the waiting list…and yet, I got a season ticket.

How? I asked for one…and only one. After they were done with renewals, I got one of the spaces left between a couple of larger groups.

Downside? Have to go by myself this year…but, I think I’ll have something in common with the people I’m around, as we’re fans of the same team and all that.

Upside? I bypassed the waiting list, and now, if my friends wish to join me, I can very likely add a seat or two when I renew next year.

My advice to those wanting to crash a waiting list? Ask for one the first time. Much more likely to get offered a ticket than someone who needs two.

BTW, not that I’m selling any, but from looking at online re-sale pricing, I could make 3-4x face value by selling my ticket to the Saints game….and get about eight percent of the value if I sell the ticket to the preseason game against the Raiders.

    GO ‘HAWKS!

  30. ninerhatersgetready4ring6 says: Jul 23, 2013 12:03 PM

Thats great but you want to know what’s even more spectacular, the 49ers sold out in May, #1 in team merchandise, Kap #1 in jersey sales the past two months, average 13 wins the past two years and by the way, hold 5 Lombardi’s.

Let’s see, the SeaHawks were #2 in the division (as usual) , #1 in the league in players on Adderral , #1 in Richard Sherman sightings on talking about how great he is and NO LOMBARDI TROPHIES .That about sums it up, let me know if I missed anything.

  31. golforepar says: Jul 23, 2013 12:08 PM

  36. tobis81 says: Jul 23, 2013 12:13 PM

  38. 12thmanseattle says: Jul 23, 2013 12:16 PM

2 things.. 1 Green Bay fans need to quit being so salty and feeling the need to comment about how cool you are every time a Seattle article goes up . 2 the seahawks are sold out for atleast the next 7 years with seaason ticket holders but they put up a limited number every year for single game tickets and they sold out in 10 minutes. Go Hawks

It’s much more impressive for the Seahawks to sell out their tickets than the Packers. In Seattle there are a ton of things to do on a fall Sunday other than football. In Green Bay if you are not at the Packers game you can…ice fish?

What do the above 3 categories have in common?

All the above lack maturity, ingenuity, are woefully outdated, have a complete lack of humor, and the simplest form of grace and intelligence one would expect from a Packer or WHiner fan

I can surely point out what you missed. 3 seasons ago the Niners finished 3rd in the division and the fans in the stands were cheering for David Carr! Who won the division most of time in the last decade? That would be the Seahawks. Lombardi trophies? The Niners last Sb win was when Steve Young was the QB so you really need to get over that. And you know what the crazy thing is…I’m actually a Ram’s fan.

  66. 88ibis says: Jul 23, 2013 1:39 PM

    The article leaves out details:
-CenturyLink Field holds 72,000 people for NFL games.
-The Seahawks cap season ticket sales at 62,000.
-There is a waiting list for season tickets.
-Single game tickets for 2013, 10,000 seats per game, went on sale on Monday 7/22 and sold out on Monday 7/22.

The fact is, the only time the Seahawks haven’t sold out games is when Ken Behring owned the team and everyone knew he was moving them to California.

I’m glad the Packers and 49ers have loyal fans, I hope every NFL team has loyal fans and sells out every game.

Infact, since you wanted to rant about SB’s I might point out the last time you won one was like 20 years ago, so get over it kid, LOL! The 49ers are always #1 in the division while the Hawks always finish 2nd, huh??? Of course you 49 er tools only wanna talk about the past two years when you won… Who won the division in 2010? Actually who has won it the most since the Hawks got here in 2002??? We did, while you were picking top 10 for almost a decade, HAHA. Kap is #1 in sales for the last 2 weeks because all you fruitcakes who jumped on the Alex Smith bandwagon have to replace your jerseys. Wow, now that’s something to really brag about!!! As for Sherman, as long as he’s the best CB in the entire league, and he backs it up with his play, they guy can pop off at the mouth all he wants! BTW, the Hawks have a waiting list for season tickets as well. Individual game tickets just went on sale 2 days ago, and sold out within 24 hours. Congrats on the 49ers selling out back in May… You simply put your tickets on sale before us, LMFAO!!! You’re not too smart are you, big guy????

It’s all good. It’s best to let it all out now rather to use all the “Seahawks suck, stupid roiding cheaters, etc.” after a game they play against your team.

Young Pro Bowl quarterback who is bound to be even better than last year, an elite running game, a top 3 defense, if not the best defense, and the best home field advantage in all of the NFL. Haters gonna hate.

  75. seehawk4life says: Jul 23, 2013 3:56 PM

Something you may want to remember is that there are 2 teams 1 suspension behind the Hawks. There are another 5 that are 2 back… So you can take the PED comments off the table. Plus it’s known that it is a big issue with younger players…. Guess what, the Hawks have tons of them!

  76. bltuor says: Jul 23, 2013 4:45 PM

Really fascinating, just how clueless Seahawk haters are! GB sold out because they all own the team, and they been around a long, long time. However, they still have NO clue what ‘simultaneous catch’ means, straight out of the NFL rule book. TD SEAHAWKS!!!!!

SF fans been smoking crap too many decades to realize this is 2013, NOT the past. Only two winning years in last 10, but they, by gawd, got 5 SB rings,,,,,,, back in last century!! Oh, and by the way, whiners, your squeaky clean, lily white squad got 4 convicted DUI’s on it, a criminal who assaulted HIS teammate who was trying to save HIM from a DUI or worse, and tried to sign a ped case, ALSO with a DUI! When you get the crap black outa YOUR kettle, then you can start looking at the black in other’s pots!

The ONLY thing that will derail the Seahawk SB Express, this year, will be injuries, and not even God can eliminate those. See ya in NYC next Feb!

Now if you can do it on a season ticket basis for over 50 years like the best franchise, nobody will ever think this is news.

    lodi freakin doh

Broncos have sold out every game since 1970. 43 straight seasons. its the only NFL team to have sold out every NFL game (green bay didnt sell out every NFL game) and have the fewest losing seasons since 1984

and the Broncos have to compete with a team from all major sports, NBA, NHL and MLB.

i lived in Seattle from 1990-2006 and there was a time you couldnt give away your tickets. band-wagon is full now

    Go Broncos.

all the pharmacies in the seattle area are sold out of adderall….

Its just an article about tickets being sold out, not claiming to have “sold out the most seasons” or anything remotely like that. So calm down and untwist your jaded panties GB fans cuz no one cares, at all.

You just keep worrying about your, “we have the longest waiting list” trophy, while we focused on the other one.

jjh1982 says:Jul 23, 2013 5:43 PMI can tell marijuana is legal in Washington just by reading all these posts from Seahawks fans, they’re short a few billion brain cells lmao

Marijuana does kill brain cells. It kills alot less than cigarettes or alcohol though. Everything kills brain cells. Even air pollution.

The tired scare tactic that it destroys your brain is played out though. I know it wasnt a scare tactic when you said it though, I know it was just a lame attempt at humor.
