Tommie Harris works out for the Bucs

In the final days before training camps start, teams routinely cast a wide net to work out players, if only to update their emergency lists to cover camp injuries.

The Buccaneers are doing so today.

In addition to the previously mentioned Visanthe Shiancoe and Peyton Hillis, the Bucs are also looking at defensive tackle Tommie Harris, according to Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com.

Harris was out of the league last year, and played in 2011 for the Chargers. The seven years prior were with the Bears.

The Bucs aren’t particularly deep at defensive tackle, and while Harris might not have anything left, it’s worth checking to see if he’s fit.
