Browns sign linebacker Justin Cole, fullback Brock Bolen

The Browns have reached deals with linebacker Justin Cole and fullback Brock Bolen, the club said Wednesday.

Both players will vie for reserve roles, and each has NFL special-teams coverage experience — always helpful when trying to make a roster.

Cole, 25, appeared in all 16 games for St. Louis in 2012, notching seven special-teams tackles, per Rams statistics.

The 28-year-old Bolen last appeared in an NFL regular-season game in 2011, when he made 13 appearances for Jacksonville and was one of the club’s more productive special-teams coverage performers.

With Cole and Bolen arriving, the Browns waived veteran offensive lineman Dominic Alford and undrafted rookie wide receiver Keenan Davis.

Cleveland is at the 90-player roster limit.

Have you seen Marecic try to catch or block? That’s cool because no one has seen him do either, Bolen could be the #1 fullback

From Banner’s “Dream Team” in Philly to his “What? Who?” team in Cleveland. At the end of the season, it will be Banner’s “Why?” team.
