Packers agree to deal with Datone Jones

Add the Packers to the list of teams knocking out first-round deals.

According to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the Packers agreed to a deal with defensive end Datone Jones.

He’s expected to sign his contract Thursday after taking his physical. The Packers’ first practice is Friday morning, and now they have all their picks taken care of.

Of course, as McGinn points out, their last two holdouts were defensive tackle B.J. Raji in 2009 and quarterback Aaron Rodgers in 2005. So maybe being on time isn’t that big a deal.
