Report: Roman Harper, Victor Butler placed on PUP for Saints

The New Orleans Saints placed three players on the physically unable to perform list prior to the start of training camp on Friday.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Saints placed linebacker Victor Butler, safety Roman Harper and cornerback Patrick Robinson on PUP Tuesday.

Butler may miss the entire season for New Orleans after tearing his ACL during offseason work in June. Butler was expected to come into camp and provide a pass rushing threat for the Saints. Instead, he’ll be lucky to play a single down in 2013.

Robinson also suffered a knee injury during practice in June while Harper is nursing an undisclosed injury.

  1. To be honest, Roman Harper has been Physically Unable to Preform for the past 3 years. I have to believe Kenny Vaccaro has something to do with this ”Undisclosed”(bad playing and tackling) injury. Just my 2 cents as a Saints fan.

  2. I couldn’t agree with you more! Bringing in Vaccaro def. had something to do with this! Can’t wait to see him play! Maby we won’t have to cringe and close our eyes now when other teams throw the ball against us! ; )
