Bills sign some experienced linemen

879712 AP

Buffalo Bills General Manager Doug Whaley initially said he might not fill his two available roster spots, but those spots were filled today.

According to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News, the Bills signed veteran offensive linemen Antoine Caldwell and Tony Hills.

Caldwell spent four years with the Texans, starting six games last year, and made the workout rounds this offseason before finding a job.

Hills has played in eight games with the Steelers, Broncos and Colts, with one start.

I’m not sure about Hills, but Caldwell is a pretty good lineman.

I don’t see either making the Roster though, the starters are pretty much set and the few backups they will keep are already there.

    LT-Cordy Glenn Backup-Zebrie Sanders(T)
    LG-Doug Legursky Backup-Colin Brown(T/G)
    C-Eric Wood Backup-Ryan Turnley(C)
    RG-Kraig Urbik Backup- Sam Young(T/G)
    RT-Eric Pears Backup-Chris Hairston(T)

The line was solid last year, with only (G) Andy Levitre leaving this season.

I commend the fan base of this team. They are true fans. This organization has a bunch of baboons running this team.
