The Packers signed rookie wide receiver Omarius Hines and safety Chris Banjo on Monday, the club said.

The club also announced it had waived rookie safety Ryan McMahon, an undrafted free agent from Sacramento State.

Hines (6-0, 215) caught 23 passes for 242 yards and two TDs as a senior at Florida in 2012. The Ravens waived him last week after signing him as an undrafted free agent in May.

Banjo (5-10, 204) was waived last week by the Jaguars. An SMU product, Banjo signed with Jacksonville in April. He had tryouts with Oakland and Pittsburgh in 2012.

Chris Banjo will probably be a starter week 1 considering the players on the Packer’s depleted defense

Keep mocking that 11th overall ranked defense. Shows how stupid you are.

Packers pick up Jaguar leftovers in hopes of installing some class and character in their organization.

Packers were down to eight healthy receivers Sunday after free agent Sederrik Cunningham suffered a season-ending wrist injury Friday and rookie draft picks Charles Johnson and Kevin Dorsey were sidelined with what appear to be minor injuries.

11th ranked defense that gave up an average of 200 yards rushing per game against Adrian Peterson and got ran on by the freaking QB for over 180 yards..stop looking at stupid stats and watch the games..you defense reminds me of all the Packer’s fans lives…A joke

Packers’ D may have ranked 11th last year, but they honestly didn’t inspire much confidence, especially late in the year. That said, I think our D can take a big step this year, especially if we get improved play from our second year guys.

He’ll probably pick off Jay Cutler and take it back for a touchdown.

Any quarterback who dares to throw in direction of Chris Banjo
will likely find that trying to complete a pass in his coverage area yields
    “Slim Pickings”.

I hope Banjo brought his pick cause the packer defence has no clue what that is or means. Week 2 WINTER IS COMING.!!!!

Diamond in the ruff search. Never hurts to take a look at guys in camp. Every team does it.

Of course, here come all the AP stats. AP could run for 400 yards a game and the Packers would still beat the Vikings. Who knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs?

How is that possible when game film has shown that the GB secondary stepped out of his way when running right at them?

I hear Banjo has a lot of pluck.

Think the Banjo deal has any strings attached?

Banjo gives the word ‘pick’ a whole new meaning.

I wonder if the Packers will be beating the hapless and tasteless Vikings and Bears twice again this season. That would be the 4th straight season in a row.

Not a packer fan here but the Packers usually make the playoffs and last year made it to the nfc divisional round further than 24 other teams. So if you were not in the playoffs the last few years then you really should not be putting down the packers defense. They seem to be consistently make it further than most teams. just saying

You’re a Jags fan, and you’re talking about class and character? Not to mention bashing on of the most classy and honest organizations in the league? Good one.

How can a Viking s fan even fathom of putting dow the NFL team with the most NFL Tiles ?
    Seriously,,,you guys have N E V E R won a Super Bowl but continuously run your mouth.
Even Eagle fans have finally learned to shut their mouths. I guess you Viking fans need to go another 10 to 20 years without a title to learn a little class.
    Hey,,,Kiss the Rings !

    not worried by the signing.
banjo must fit that defensive scream.
you know, the self-imploding bickering Kaepernick witnessed.

  24. tokyosandblaster says: Jul 29, 2013 8:25 PM

I think we should all take the time to count the Vikings Super Bowl victories.

    Thanks for joining me.

Remember WR Jarrett Boykin made the Packers 53 last year after the Jags cast him out after only a weeks tryout. He had a awesome pre-season last year and actually made Packer backup QB Harrell look decent in the last pre-season game. No wonder the Jags have “issues”. If Coleman beats out Harrell this year, the Jags will probably sign Harrell to start.
