Mario Williams gets second opinion on foot

AP

The phrase “second opinion” has assumed primary importance in a pair of NFL cities.

For the Seahawks, it could lead to surgery for receiver Percy Harvin.  For the Bills, it has led to the absence of pass rusher Mario Williams.

Per a league source, Williams received a second opinion on his sore foot.  For now, it does not appear to be a serious injury.  However, Williams has been advised to rest the foot.

That’s good news as it relates to Williams’ health, but bad news as he prepares for the first year of Mike Pettine’s 3-4 defense.

  1. Doctor: You should rest your foot.

Mario: I want a second opinion.

Doctor: You get paid too much to complain this much.

  2. 1st opinion of Bills fans last year – “Holy crap we got Mario Williams !!!!”

2nd opinion of Bills fans this year – “Crap we got Mario Williams”

There’s a reason none of the good teams in the league would pay this guy what he wanted.

    Hilarious!

  4. So last year he had a wrist injury, no wait he didnt, no wait he did, no wait he didnt, and he sucked

This year he has a foot injury, needs a second opinion, I am guessing he is going to suck again. Maybe the Bills cut the wrong Defensive End…

    Biggest free Agency Bust ever

  5. Some of you people are so stupid biggest free agent bust but he still had 10.5 sacks coming off a torn pectoral not to mention an absolute terrible coach and d coordinator stop thinking your an nfl analyst or coach lol

  6. Does Doug Marrone know about this….because he might get a little sensitive about it.

  7. The Texans did not have the money to sign him. They also knew he was very injury prone, as should have the Bills.

  8. As a Texan fan im glad he is gone but he did have a few good years. Buffalo if he gets healthy and that’s a big IF because that’s his problem he will be a good player for yall

Or the fact that his first visit entering Free Agency was Buffalo and he never left…….However, you can try to skew whatever you want to get as many thumbs up votes as possible. I figure it’s the most important aspect of your life….

  10. His history of “nagging injuries” continues. It was the same here in H-Town.

The coaches constantly talked up what a great job he was doing but dang if anyone could see it as he disappeared for games at a time.

Then it would be reported he had been playin’ through a toe, arm, leg, shoe or brain injury. I remember one game at the start were he literally bullrushed the tackle over the QB. I thought wow, he’s gonna get after it tonight.

Didn’t hear his name called again………:(
