Rams waive-injured tackle Braden Brown, guard Kevin Saia

The Rams waived-injured rookie offensive tackle Braden Brown and guard Kevin Saia on Tuesday. The NFL disclosed the moves in its transactions.

Brown (pictured at right at the Scouting Combine) has a back injury, while Saia has a foot injury, per Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Brown (6-5, 310) played collegiately at Brigham Young. Saia (6-2, 310) played at Louisiana Tech. Both were undrafted free agents signed by St. Louis in May.

The Rams now have two open roster spots. One of those spots could be filled by rookie wide receiver Justin Veltung, who has signed with the club, Thomas reported. However, the move was not disclosed in the NFL’s Tuesday transactions. Veltung, who played collegiately at Idaho, was waived by Seattle on July 28.
