Blaine Gabbert back on the practice field

Jaguars Camp Football AP

Jaguars fans can exhale. Or not, as the case may be.

Quarterback Blaine Gabbert was back in full pads with the rest of his teammates, but didn’t go through a full warmup period, according to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.

There was some initial concern when he rolled his right ankle two days ago, but if he’s already back on the field (even if he’s limited), it’s a sign he shouldn’t miss much time.

Whether that’s good or bad for the Jaguars remains to be seen.

As a Ravens fan, I will go ahead and say it, the Jags will never win a Super Bowl with Lame Gabbert

The current Jags remind me of the Post Superbowl Bucs under Gruden, who had QB’s such as, Bruce Gradkowski, Tim Rattay, and Chris Simms all field general-ing the team to embarrassment. I think he’s most like Simms, who, every time he took a 7 step drop you closed your eyes and prayed.

Last year he threw shorter passes to get his completion percentage up, fooling people like
    “thegreatgabbert”.

If he throws them any shorter though, they’re gonna start going backwards.

Gotta love the brain cells of PFT readers making the same lame Gabbert/Jaguar jokes as if their team has always had Hall of Fame quarterbacks and Super Bowl capable teams every season. “And all three Jaguar fans rejoice”. Great a four year old misinformed joke yet again. Give this guy a cookie for originality.

Look Einsteins, we get it. This team has sucked for a decade. We get it. This team does not have a quarterback. We get it . This team has been dysfunctional for quit some time. We get it. The OLD GM was a horrible talent evaluator. We get it. And the kicker is through all of this mess Jaguars fans still avg 64k in the seat every single game for a 2-14 team. I realize most of you are just ignorant and not capable of finding new jokes or take the national media misinformed “reporting” as gospel, but we know what Shad Khan is doing to Jax and his commitment to turn this team into an every year SB contender and laying a blueprint on how to turn a failing franchise in a well oil machine in due time. We live in Jax. We follow the team. We see what Khan does every day. We see his press conferences. We listen to his words. We get report daily on his commitment to turn this franchise around.
So do us all a favor and just ignore the irrelevant post with the same tired jokes over and over and over and keep ignoring the lowly Jaguars(which we agree) and stay tuned to what’s happening to this franchise. We will get the last laugh. Maybe not this season. Maybe not next season, but sooner rather than later we will get the last laugh.

Interesting that PFT makes a snide comment about Gabbert, and then gives a favorable writeup with no snide comment about Jake Locker who has been equally disappointing.

They need to just start the guy and see what they have.

Henne is a nice backup but is not going to be THE guy.

Start Gabbert and see where he can take them.

And yet every football fan’s life goes on unaffected.

    Strange…

And the Jacksonville Kittens are still looking for a real NFL quarterback………..

“We will get the last laugh. Maybe not this season. Maybe not next season, but sooner rather than later we will get the last laugh?”

Really? The jets have preached the same comment for the past 45 years…. and counting.

When are they going to give up on him I honestly think Chad Henne gives yall a better chance to win just look what he did against a good defense in Houston last year
