It’s hard out there for a fullback.

After Vonta Leach’s “Summer of Vonta” tour ended with him returning to the Ravens at a reduced rate, other fullbacks are finding it tougher.

Conor Orr of the Newark Star Ledger reports that the Giants worked out former Cowboys fullback Lawrence Vickers recently, but didn’t sign him.

Of course, Vickers is coming off back surgery, and they signed fullback Ryan D’Imperio instead.

Vickers was cut by the Cowboys earlier this offseason when they decided not to have any fullbacks at all.

With so many teams going to two-tight end offenses, guys like Vickers are going to continue to have a harder time finding a spot.
